Foundations of surgical and restorative implant dentistry. From case selection and treatment planning through to predictable placement, restoration and maintenance of straightforward single implants. Three days, fully hands-on, on pig jaws and surgical models, headlined by Dr David Norcross with the EDA faculty.

Every module maps to a decision or a movement you'll make chairside on a real single-implant case.
Know which straightforward single-implant cases to take on, and which to refer, before you pick up a handpiece.
Design every case backwards from the final restoration so the implant ends up exactly where it needs to be.
Interpret the scan and the anatomy that governs safe, predictable placement.
Decide when to place, and how to handle the extraction site, including socket preservation.
Access, flap design and atraumatic tissue management, plus suturing.
Position the implant three-dimensionally for aesthetics and function, not just available bone.
The drilling sequence, implant selection and how to achieve reliable primary stability.
Place implants both freehand and guided, with the intraoperative decision-making to match.
Second-stage, tissue profile, impressions and scanning, abutment and restoration selection, through to the final crown.
Implant occlusion, complication management, maintenance, and how to introduce implants into your practice.
EDA teaches single-implant dentistry as a structured sequence, so you know exactly what happens at each stage, from the first consult through to review.
Day one builds the diagnostic and surgical foundations. Day two is placement. Day three takes you from healing through to the delivered restoration, all combining advanced lectures with hands-on training on pig jaws and surgical models.
Hands-on sessions run on pig jaws and surgical models, with multiple educators on the floor so you're guided through every step.

Practise access, flap design and suturing technique on pig jaws.
Manage the extraction site with a structured socket-preservation workshop.
Place implants with correct three-dimensional positioning, using both freehand and guided approaches.
Tissue development, impressions and the restorative sequence through to the final case-planning workshop.

Dr Norcross headlines the Implant Roadmap and leads the surgical and restorative teaching across all three days, from case selection and planning through to placement, restoration and long-term maintenance of single implants.
