EDA is built around a faculty of practising Australian dentists running these procedures in their own chairs. Not lecturers. Not consultants. Working clinicians who teach the way they work.
EDA was founded by two Sydney-based clinicians who built the curriculum they wished existed when they were starting out.

Dr Docherty is a graduate of the University of Sydney, Bachelor of Medical Science and Bachelor of Dentistry, completing his studies with honours and a University Medal. He has engrossed himself in postgraduate education, becoming an alumnus of the Fahl Cosmetic Academy and the Kois Academy, completing a two-year orthodontic mini-residency through EODO and the City of London Dental School, and a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry in Oral Implants at the University of Sydney.
Dr Docherty is passionate about mentoring and teaching, and is an examiner of the postgraduate Oral Implant Diploma at the University of Sydney. He believes in a literature based approach to dentistry and is a co-author of the Wiley‑Blackwell textbook “Practical Procedures in Implant Dentistry”. He is also a core faculty member and lecturer of the Aesthetic Restorative Grad Dip at the ACDP, and was announced as a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy in recognition of his contributions to dentistry.

Dr Kamran Ashraf is a Sydney based clinician and educator with advanced postgraduate training in prosthodontics and periodontics. He holds dual honours degrees from the University of Dundee and the University of Central Lancashire, and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
Dr Ashraf’s clinical practice focuses on advanced aesthetic and reconstructive dentistry, with particular expertise in porcelain veneers, full mouth rehabilitation and functional occlusion. His approach is grounded in evidence based, biologically respectful care and multidisciplinary treatment planning to achieve predictable long term outcomes.
In addition to private practice, Dr Ashraf is a recognised leader in postgraduate dental education. He is course director of multiple advanced aesthetic programmes and regularly lectures nationally and internationally. He also contributes to postgraduate teaching through the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, translating complex concepts into structured, clinically useful frameworks.
Course-specific faculty rotate through CVM, EPV and AAR. Every clinician on this list runs these cases in their own practice every week.

She is passionate about preventative and cosmetic dentistry.

Dr Jackie Ngo holds a Doctorate in Dental Medicine and a Bachelor in Pharmacy from The University of Sydney. Specialising in cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics, she is an accredited Invisalign and braces provider through the American Institute of Progressive Orthodontic Seminars. Outside of dentistry, she is a former National Deadlift Record holder in the Australian Powerlifting Union’s Women’s division.

Dedicated to lifelong learning, she continues to refine her expertise by training with leaders in cosmetic dentistry. The faculty grows alongside the curriculum. New educators are joining for the upcoming Implant Masterclass and additional programmes launching across 2026 and 2027.
Every educator on the EDA roster meets the same bar: actively running these cases in their own chair, and willing to teach exactly the way they work.
Every faculty member runs a clinical practice. You learn the workflow they used on Friday, taught to you on Saturday, ready for your own chair on Monday.
Cohorts have 3 to 5 educators on the floor. That ratio is the whole point: direct feedback, multiple perspectives, no waiting in line for help.
Faculty rotate by course based on clinical strength. Composite faculty teach composite. Implant faculty teach implants. No generalist filler.
Small-cohort, hands-on masterclasses with the faculty above. Pick your course and lock in a seat.
